The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation (The Stabler Foundation) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has created a Donor Advised Fund at Vanguard Charitable. The Vanguard Fund will enable The Stabler Foundation to continue the charitable legacy of Mr. and Mrs. Stabler for future generations.

Mr. and Mrs. Stabler established their Foundation in 1966. Since its creation, The Stabler Foundation has made grants to over 575 different organizations that are located in or provide services throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. The Stabler Foundation will continue its mission in part through this new fund at Vanguard Charitable and by continuing to make direct grants to selected charities.

Since 2007, The Stabler Foundation has granted over $300 million to local charities. It is expected that this new fund at Vanguard Charitable will perpetuate The Stabler Foundation's support of many of these charities. The Stabler Foundation will notify those organizations which may benefit from this new fund.

NOTICE: The Foundation has ceased to accept applications for grants, as it is transitioning to a donor advised fund. That fund will contact any future grant recipients directly without the necessity of filing applications.
